Digby Community Education Centre

   Lifelong Learning Opportunities

Enrolment at the Digby Community Education Centre (DCEC) is continuous; this means that adult learners can enroll when it is convenient for them, and enrolment can be part-time or full-time, based on the learners’ needs (adult learners – age 19 and above). Learners can take advantage of free learning opportunities through the adult learning programs, the GED (General Educational Development) program or the computer basics program.

DCEC offers programming during the daytime as well as several evenings per week. DCEC encourages lifelong learning; whether you want to improve skills, progress to a high school diploma or begin employment, DCEC can help you achieve your goals.

“It was an amazing experience. Being out of school for twenty years–to be back was a huge challenge but well worth it. On to the next step I go!”

DCEC grad Justin Comeau

“The most rewarding thing I have done with my life (besides being a parent) was to enroll as an adult learner…If I could give any advice to someone who is thinking about furthering his or her education, I would say, ‘do it, it’s never too late to change.’ If there is anything I have learned from this experience, it’s that education is not just part of life, it is life, so don’t stray from it, embrace it and enjoy the road it takes you on.”
